The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who is the man who desires life and loves length of days that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

Psalm 34:10-15

I actually just read this on my sidebar this morning, and what a timely word it was as struggles are ongoing in the bringing up of our children.

Yesterday our Pastor encouraged us to meditate upon God’s word more often and how true this is as when troubles arise, we may then be enabled to apply the scripture we have meditated upon to our circumstances.

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. (Psalm 119:11)

May we seek His guidance more and more which indeed can only be found through the Scriptures and even meditate on the promise that:-

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

(James 1:5) ; wisdom which is surely needed to bring up children among many other things.
